COSMETIC PRP
(Platelet-Rich Plasma)
WHAT IS PRP?
Despite our best efforts sometimes our face ages faster than we feel we’ve aged on the inside. Our skin tends to lose elasticity, creating fine lines and wrinkles, we suffer from dehydrated skin, and all our trips around the sun start to show with hyperpigmentation. Like many things in life the answer is within – Your body has the power within itself to heal and regenerate tissues by using its own platelets from your own blood to stimulate stem cell responses. It is the stem cells that help regenerate new collagen cells as well as blood vessels which help to repair damaged skin and slow/reverse the signs of aging.
PRP stands for platelet rich plasma, and it is proven to repair your skin’s damage on a cellular level. Prior to your procedure you will give a blood sample, the processed blood will be spun in a special machine to separate the platelet rich plasma, and then applied back to your skin using microneedling to enhance the positive effects. The result is newly generated collagen and tighter, firmer, glowing skin.
