Lumecca (ipl)

Lumecca is an IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) treatment used to improve and brighten texture and reduce skin irregularities including sun spots, age spots, freckles, pigmentation, and superficial veins.

Combined areas you can treat with Lumecca™ are usually areas that have been exposed to sunlight. This often includes the face, neck, décolletage, legs, hands and arms.

Lumecca diminishes several signs of aging, including uneven skin tone, vascular lesions (spider veins), sun damage, rosacea and hyperpigmentation.

What can I expect during my treatment?

During treatment there will be a bright flash of light from the Lumecca device that feels like a light elastic sensation. Redness and a slight warming of the skin is normal after treatment and usually subsides within an hour.

How long does the treatment take?

Treatments can vary per patient, however the procedure typically takes 10 to 20 minutes.

How quickly will I see results?

This depends on the treatment area and severity of the issue. However, you should start to see reults after 1-2 sessions. Depending on the severity of the skin damage some people may need 5-6 sessions to acheive their desired results.

How long do the results last?
The effects of IPL typically last 6-12 months and it is recommended to go for maintenance treatments annually to prolong the visible results.
How many treatments will I need?
It depends on the treatment area and severity, however we usually  recommend 3 -6 sessions, 4-6 weeks apart for optimal results.
Aftercare

We recommend avoiding hot tubs, whirlpools, saunas, or excessive sweating for 24-48 hours after your treatment.

You should also avoid direct, or excessive sun exposure and tanning and wear an SPF sunscreen for 2 weeks post treatment.
